WHAT IS ELECTROLYSIS?
Electrolysis is a technique that uses specially designed equipment. A small amount ofย heat is directed into the hair follicle to disrupt the hair growth cycle. A series of treatments are requiredย to remove the unwanted hair. Electrolysis can effectively treat unwanted hair on all body areas and removes all types of hair including white, grey, red or blonde.
IS ELECTROLYSIS SAFE?
Electrolysis is still the only medically approved method of hair removal.
Electrolysis should only be performed by accredited and experienced practitioners. Ourย practitioners have over 20 years of qualified experience in this field and promote industry-standard safety practices ,including mandatory use of new, sterilised needles for each treatment.
HOW DOES ELECTROLYSIS FEEL ?
The treatment does produce a slight discomfort-- something like a small sting. Most people have little difficulty tolerating the treatment, but as pain thresholds vary from person toย person, we can offer some suggestions to alleviate the discomfort.
CAN ANYONE HAVE ELECTROLYSIS?
Electrolysis treatment is suitable for anyone wanting to change their facial or body hair appearance. Both men, women and transgender clients have benefited from the procedure.
HOW DOES ELECTROLYSIS DIFFER FROM LASER?
Lasers use a light system that is attracted to the melanin in the hair follicle. Unfortunately ย not all hair follicles have enough melanin to attract the laser. It is not effective for ย white ,grey ,red and blondeย hair. Also your skin pigmentation may not be suitable for laser.
Electrolysis remains the onlyย medically proven method for permanent hair removal. Electrolysis uses a very fine sterile needle which is inserted into each individual hair follicle. A small amount of heat is applied to releaseย the hair. All types of hair and skin can be treated.
